Best Camera Smartphone Under R10 000

Having a smartphone these days has become quite fashionable. From the latest models with touch screen capabilities to fast connectivity speeds, smartphone technology has taken a life of its own. For a smartphone to compete with the best in the league it should come standard with a quality camera.

Fortunately you don’t have to look too far to find the best camera smartphone under R10 000 in South Africa. These days, cheaper smartphone handsets are just as good as the more costly high-end models.

The Moto X Pure is one such model.

Why does it qualify as the best camera smartphone under R10 000?

The Moto X Pure retails for between R5500 and R7500 – quite reasonable for smartphone standards. The release of the phone comes after the Motorola brand was recently relaunched by Lenovo in South Africa.

Weighing just 179 grams, one of the best features is that the phone has a 21 MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Storage options range between 16, 32 and 64 GB.

The camera on this phone is right up there with the likes of the iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S6 and the LG G4.

The 5.7 inch display houses a front facing flash, ensuring that the phone is a hit with selfie lovers. While the Moto X Pure takes crystal clear daytime scenes, in natural colours, it unfortunately can’t pick up details so well without enough light.

Nightmode pictures are dark and lacklustre. Whereas daytime pictures have clear details across the entire frame, at night, 5 megapixel images are produced.

The focus speed is quite good, despite the camera featuring no optimal stabilization.

For the price it’s selling for, the Moto X Pure is a good buy.
