The FNB Student Account is ideal for full-time students. It’s a convenient bank account designed for students between the ages of 18 and 25 years, who are studying towards a degree or diploma (3 years.)

Documents needed for the application process:

  • Valid proof of admission
  • Valid ID
  • Proof of residence
  • Permanent residence certificate

What are the benefits of having an FNB Student Account?

There is no minimum balance required. With this account, there is no pressure placed on you to maintain a specific minimum balance.

You have an option to redirect bank fees to your parents’ FNB account. FNB understands the challenges faced by students, which is why this option is made available, so that bank fees are still paid.

The account is available to all local and foreign students.

You can save money. By choosing an FNB Student Account, you can benefit from lower bank fees and lower transaction fees.

There are no fees charged when you pay with your debit card.  Making payments with you debit card is easy and you don’t have to pay any fees when swiping your card.

Free card swipes. There are no charges for swiping your card.

Free inContact notification messaging service. With this service, you are notified when there is any activity on your account. You can keep track of your account.

Ge access to cash when you need it. With an FNB Student Account you have access to cash whenever you need it. You also don’t have to walk around with large amounts of money- you can simply swipe whenever you need to.

Replace your lost/stolen/damaged card. If your card is lost or damaged, you can contact FNB and they will replace it for you.
