Activating the Capitec MasterCard Secure Code

Capitec bank strives to give clients unique and simplified banking solutions. Through its Global One Card, it has been able to provide clients with unrivalled innovative solutions. Global One Card holders are able to use this card for through a variety of channels. One of these channels is as a credit facility. To activate this facility however, there are a number of steps involved. Here’s how to go about it:

Visit your nearest Capitec bank branch
Ask for the Credit Card ability of your card (MasterCard Secure Code) to be activated
You’ll then get a page with instructions and a code in an SMS (Keep this code safe for use if you happen to forget your Secure Code)
Wait 24 hours after receiving the SMS before following the instructions on the page
You’ll then be required to answer 3 security questions for activation:

Credit card expiry date

Your I.D. number

Your activation code (from the SMS)

Type in the address http://www.securecode.com/capitecbank and on the page that comes up, click Activate Now
Enter your card number as well as your email address and Click Next
Read the Terms and Conditions thoroughly and tick the I Accept box then proceed to click the Next button
Enter the name on your credit card exactly as it is (using uppercase)
Select the expiry date of your card and enter your D number, type in the activation code and click Next
Create your Secure Code
Create your personal greeting and click Next
